Delhi's Excise Department issues dry days by order, in batches through the year. Liquor shops have 13 dry days in 2026, but hotel bars, restaurant bars and clubs close on only 3: Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti.
The remaining 2026 dates for liquor shops are Diwali on 8 November and Guru Nanak Jayanti on 24 November. Dates can shift after an order is out: one Eid dry day this year moved by a day.
The 2027 list has not been released. This year's first order came in mid January.
